My Review

I had the great privilege of reading an ARC of this book and I gotta tell ya, WOW is a flipping understatement. Just read the synopsis and excerpt if you don't believe me (both of which are included on this blog post along with purchase links). I won't be posting spoilers here but I have to say Jules and Miles gave me all the feels. I laughed and cried and really felt what these two souls were feeling. Both are relatable and very interesting people. To me it is a book that deserves high remarks on delivering emotional twists and turns and will probably make you want more. I had to collect myself at a couple of points because the feelings were deep. At least I didn't throw my Kindle LOL. But like I said, don't believe me, read the synopsis and/or the excerpt. Judge for yourself. But if you decide to take the journey with Jules and Miles, be prepared for anything and everything.

Adjusting my guitar, I turn around and freeze, every muscle in my body loosening at the stunning woman sitting on the stool next to me. One look at her, and the air in the sound booth evaporates, stealing it right out of my lungs.
“Keep looking at me like that, and I’ll lock the door, shut off the lights, and fuck you up against the window. I’ll have them rattling harder than they’ve ever vibrated before.”
A sharp breath escapes Julia’s mouth. Her eyes go wide. Her lips are painted in a delicious shade of light pink, glossy and so plump my taste buds explode in my mouth. Damn, the woman has my knees knocking together. Straight pin-up version of sex is what she is. Earth-shattering sex. A little rough with a whole lot of meaning.
She looks much better than she did nearly a week ago when I climbed the steps to her house leading to the unknown. I’d like to think I had something to do with it. The truth is, it’s all her and the strength she possesses.
I wrap my arm around her waist, yanking her to the edge of the stool, then lift my hand to settle on that gorgeous face.
“I dare you.”
Her dare sizzles through me like an electric wire.

Post apocalyptic stories aren't my favorite in the world but this series may very well be the start of me changing my mind. Yasmine's books have always been dear to me and this one is no exception. Kae is a devoted follower of the Goddess Hecate and is commanded to find The Thunderstrike and return it before it used to destroy what's left of the world. At times the story was a little hard to get into but that could be because I don't generally like post apocalyptic stories. But all in all a great start to the series :) Book 2, Fury's Magic, will be releasing in November 2016.

Review of Shadow Silence by Yasmine Galenorn

Here we are again :) Book 2 of Yasmine's Whisper Hollows series is just as good if not better than the first  (Autumn Thorns). I want more and more of Kerris and Bryan the more I read and re-read these books. Once again we find ourselves in Whisper Hollow and Kerris' best friend Peggin gets into real danger. Kerris races with Bryan and her other allies against time to find her and bring her back to safety. Will Kerris get to her in time? Will everyone come out it alive and no worse for the wear? You will have to read and find out :) I don't want to say too much due to spoilers but I am honestly saying that this series has taken over as my second favorite series of Yasmine's, the first being her Otherworld series (Sisters of the Moon.) I can't wait till book three!!! When is it coming out?!

Review of the Black, Blue and Purple Pain Anthology

I usually don't get too emotional when I read books except in a good romance or suspense novel but the Black, Blue and Purple Pain Anthology had me in tears and I cannot stress enough how deep this book had me. My review on Amazon said it best: "This book is highly charged with emotion and it had me remember some of the things that I went through. Definitely not for the faint of heart. If you have been through abuse of any sort, this may trigger the memories. Read with your significant other or someone that can help you remember that you escaped and you are safe, if that should happen. My favorite, if it is safe or right to have one, story was Clara's Heart. The writing was amazing and there was depth to it. Proceeds go to help with the issues of domestic violence so please help. You may save someone else from being a victim or a victim get out before its too late."

Review of Autumn Thorns by Yasmine Galenorn




Hello all. Today I want to review a book that I absolutely enjoyed reading. Its called Autumn Thorns by Yasmine Galenorn. It is the first in her Whisper Hollows series and it was an amazing new adventure. Its about a lady named Kerris who is a Spirit Shaman. She returns to Whisper Hollows, after a long period away to take over the duties of the previous Shaman. What is a Spirit Shaman, you ask? Well, according to this book, a Spirit Shaman is a daughter of the Morrigan that can talk to spirits, see them, and drive them back to their graves if they get out of hand. (Autumn Thorns ch 1). She has a shape-shifting mate named Bryan along with a couple of close friends and together they protect the Hollows from all sorts of creatures and evils. This has adventure mixed with sex and some comedic moments so I highly recommend this book!!

Running Free by K. Webster 5☆☆☆☆☆ by Amanda This book! I loved it, I only read the one book in this set which was Running Free and I loved it. If you are a fan of paranormal, shifters, and happily ever after's you will love this box set.
Running Free is about a young girl named Frankie, who is in the Foster care system, she has had a hard life at the age of twelve she discovers that she is not human but in fact a Doberman. Frankie's life continues to get more difficult until she meets Otis, and moves to Woodland Creek.
Gunnar is a cop, that moves to Woodland Creek after he catches his wife in bed with his boss. Gun knows there is something different about Frankie and the small town of Woodland Creek and he's determined to find out what's going on and win Frankie's heart.
This book has great characters, is very well written, and has some very steamy sex scenes. Don't miss your chance to discover the secrets of Woodland Creek in Running Free by K. Webster.
